im utterly disappointed by Manchester United's display.
they failed to take their chances. if you fail to take your
chances, then you have yourselves to blame for not
taking advantage and taking the three points.
Ronaldo scored in the 10th minute, before Afonso Alves
equalised late in the first half. Alves scored again in the
opening 10minutes of the second half and could have
bagged a hat trick. 2-1 to middlesbrough. united
wasted chance after chance and could have levelled
if paul scholes had been more accurate. nevertheless,
up stepped rooney who taps in from park ji sung's
cross after the winger had cut in across the defender
of middlesbrough. 2-2 . game on . both teams attacked
in the final minutes, and manu almost got the winner
when ronaldo was tripped just outside the box.
the free kick taken was a waste. manu could have
gotten a third in the stoppage time but it was boro
who had the last laugh , as they counter attacked and
almost got their third , after a slip by van der sar .
it was probably due to the bad weather. it was snowing
very heavily. i could see snow on the bald head of the
referee. oh yes, manu were clearly denied a penalty in
the first half. ronaldo's shot struck one of boro's
defender's shoulder. he used his shoulder to block it.
poor refereeing , he did not see it . keylong la !
both teams showed great attacking display.
a draw was a fair result. but chelsea are now 3points
behind manu after their 2-0 win at mancity.
